Old State House & Harpoon Brewery Wedding: Eilis & Russell
December 18, 2015
Eilis and Russell are a pretty amazing couple that has been through a lot together, including Russell's deployment to Iraq. It was absolutely wonderful to be part of their adventurous, non-traditional wedding day in downtown Boston. Everything was wonderfully planned and we embarked, quite literally as you'll see, on a journey around town with only two goals in my mind - to capture their relationship as a couple and to have fun!
The day began at the beautiful Envoy Hotel in the Seaport District, with gorgeous views of the city. We had the rooftop bar all to ourselves as it was already shut down for the winter months (thank you to the staff at the Envoy!). As the sun was setting, the Boston skyline was a perfect backdrop for some portraits and artistic photographs. Then we boarded the Boston Harbor Water Taxi and made a trip to Columbus Park, meeting some of Russell's family en route there. A taxi brought us to the Theater District where we took some dramatic photos at the Paramount Theater, continued to the Old State House for an intimate ceremony in the presence of Eilis and Russell's family and close friends (complete with poetry readings!), and topped it off with a delicious wedding feast at the Harpoon Brewery.
Please enjoy the photos and let us know which ones you like the most!
It was an amazing day being part of Eilis and Russell's unique Boston wedding and we wish them many beautiful years of love and life together!
A special thank you to...
