Providence Biltmore Wedding: Maria & Billy
July 26, 2017
Remember that beautiful couple I photographed with a Great Dane puppy at Nashoba Valley Winery and Old Stone Church? You MUST see their engagement session if you missed it! Not only was I personally excited simply for the two of them getting married, but I was really looking forward to photographing grand Greek wedding festivities!
Maria meticulously planned everything with her fabulous best friends and the parents. Let me tell you, I was just kind of left speechless after it was all over. The Greeks know how to party, and not just the young people, but everyone right down to the grandparents! I wasn't sure how the Biltmore was still left standing after all that dancing and a dance floor packed with every generation. You could feel the love of family and friends present, it was just truly incredible to be part of it and I'm thankful to have had the privilege capturing these moments with my husband Vitaliy.
The beautiful ceremony took place at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester, followed by family photos and some bridal party photos in the park across the street. We then hopped on the spacious "party bus" that took us to Biltmore Providence where we took more bridal party photos and the portraits of Maria and Vasilios (his Greek name!). Such a gorgeous, historic setting for photos! After cocktail hour came the grandest of all grand entrances, with the newlyweds dancing and everyone surrounding them, heartfelt speeches and toasts (I may or may not have shed a few tears!), scrumptious menu, and then dancing, dessert, dancing, dancing, dancing... You get the idea!
Enjoy these photos and let us know what stuck with you most :)
That was nothing short of incredible, wasn't it?! The photos don't do it justice, the whole day was something I'll remember for a long, long time. Maybe even tell my grandchildren about it when I'm old and gray and they ask "Grandma, what's a Greek wedding like?"
